Who this policy applies to
This Privacy Policy applies to Kodezet, the website available at kodezet.com, and Kodezet features that link to this policy. In this policy, “Kodezet,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Kodezet service operated by its creator.
This policy does not replace the privacy terms of third-party services that you choose to use with Kodezet. Those services include Google, whose own policies apply to your Google account and Google platform activity.
Information we collect
The information we handle depends on how you use Kodezet. It may include the following categories:
- Account information. If you sign in with Google, we may receive basic profile information made available by Google, such as your name, email address, profile image, and a unique account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.
- Content you provide. We handle information that you submit to a Kodezet feature, such as messages, files, project information, or support requests, only as needed to provide that feature or respond to you.
- Usage and device data. Our website may receive technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location derived from an IP address, pages viewed, referring page, and timestamps. We use this information for security, reliability, and aggregate usage analysis.
- Communications. If you email us, we receive the email address and the contents of your message so that we can provide support and maintain a record of the request.
How Google sign-in and Google data are used
When you choose “Sign in with Google,” Google authenticates you and returns the information and authorization response required for the sign-in flow. We use that information to create or access your Kodezet account, associate activity with that account, keep you signed in, and protect the service against abuse.
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it for purposes unrelated to the Kodezet feature that requested it. If a Kodezet feature requests access to Google APIs beyond basic sign-in, we will describe that access at the point of authorization and use the data only for the feature you enabled. Google API Services User Data is handled in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
You can review or revoke Kodezet’s Google account access from your Google Account permissions. Revoking access may prevent features that depend on Google sign-in from working, but it does not automatically delete information already associated with your Kodezet account.
How we use information
We use information for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, personalize, and maintain Kodezet.
- To authenticate accounts and maintain account security.
- To respond to questions, feedback, and support requests.
- To monitor performance, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot errors.
- To understand aggregate service usage and improve product design.
- To comply with applicable law and enforce our agreements.
We do not use the contents of private user submissions to build advertising profiles or sell targeted advertising based on those contents.
Cookies, analytics, and similar technologies
Kodezet may use essential cookies or similar technologies to support sessions, security, preferences, and basic site operation. We may also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate website usage, such as which pages are visited and whether the site is functioning correctly. Analytics information is not intended to identify you personally.
You can limit cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect sign-in or other site functionality. For information about Google’s handling of analytics data, see Google’s Privacy Policy.
When we share information
We may share information with service providers that process it for us, such as hosting, error monitoring, analytics, email, or authentication providers. These providers may use information only to perform services for Kodezet and must protect it appropriately.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect the rights and safety of users or Kodezet, investigate fraud or abuse, or support a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.
Retention, security, and international processing
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the service, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal or security requirements. Retention periods vary by the type and purpose of the information.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for using a strong, unique password for any account that is not managed through Google.
Depending on where you use Kodezet and where our service providers are located, information may be processed in countries other than your own. We take reasonable steps to ensure that such processing is protected in accordance with applicable requirements.
Your choices and deletion requests
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information that Kodezet controls. You may also ask us to explain how your information is used or to stop a particular processing activity where applicable.
To request deletion of your Kodezet account or associated data, email kodezet@gmail.com with the subject “Kodezet data request.” We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required by law or needed for legitimate security and accounting purposes.
You can separately remove Kodezet’s access to your Google account through Google’s account settings. Removing that access and deleting Kodezet data are separate actions.
Children’s privacy
Kodezet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.
